Bitoy on Reader's Digest

Once again Beethoven del Valle Bunagan better known as Michael V. of GMA-7 Philippines proved his talent after featured in the "5th Annual Humor Special" of Reader's Digest.

Bitoy as the Filipino fans call him is one of the best comedian here in the Philippines and I cannot deny that I am one of them. Bitoy portrays many roles with his television shows such Bitoy's Funniest Video and Bubble Gang. Characters like Mike Enriquez (GMA news anchor), William Hung, an old man or woman, beast, etc. etc. etc. He really make you move while watching him.

By this, he really deserves the recognition from one of the best international renowned publication, Reader's Digest.

Two thumbs up for you Bitoy! YARI KA!!

PDA Grand Dream Night

Last September 13, 2008 PDA Grand Dream Night (Performance Night) was held on Cuneta Astrodome, Pasay City with a fabulous opening number by the ex-scholars together with international icon Ms. Vina Morales.

Afterwards the Final Six (Laarni Lozada, Bugoy Drilon, Liezel Garcia, Van Roxas, Cristina Pastor, and Miguel Mendoza) have delivered their winning pieces with fast and slow song. The Dream Mentors composed of Kitchie Molina (Overall Voice Mentor), Monet Silvestre (Voice Mentor), Direk Joey "DJ" Reyes (Media Perfomance), VOn (Diction), and Mr. Ryan Cayabyab (Headmaster) also performed with operatic and pop number.

More surprises were announced during the show, and not to mentioned the stunning performance of International Star Billy Crawford (host of the show) and the Banana Split Girls on the new shows of ABS-CBN.

On the next night, the moment we have all been waiting for has finally arrived, the announcement of winners. On the 6th place is Cristina Pastor, Van Roxas, Liezel Garcia, Miguel Mendoza, Bugoy Drilon, and Laarni Lozada (Grand Dreamer) respectively.


What can you say about the results PDA Grand Dream Night? Do you think reality show PDA is fair enough for the singers like Liezel, Van, and Cris that Miguel Mendoza won the third place? You decide.

Even though my idol Liezel did not make it, she is still my idol. Go Liezel!

No More Queues in the Bureau

Most of us have exprienced falling in line in a queue. Most of us decided to quit, most of us say "WTF?", and some were ended up nothing but to wait for their turn.

This is the usual scenario when we try to get our National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance. NBI clearance is the most pertinent document whenever we are trying to seek for the job, apply for visa, passport, or anything. In short, it plays a very important role in our life.As its name implies, it clears our record in the government or public. It is a document that proves that we not liable of any crime.

NBI puts up its kiosk in different municipality and even malls to facilitate the clearance of ones NBI records. But the problem with this one is that if ever you shared a name with a person who has a criminal record, you are forced to go their main office and obliged to seek a Certificate of Denial from the attorney. So illogical and annoying isn't it?

Here is the good news, to accomodate the growing numbers of Filipinos who are renewing their clearance, Mega Data Corp. and NBI launched the NBI Automated Clearance Machine that functions like an ordinary ATM. Mega Data Corp. is the company that provided the machine and its software.

To use the machine, applicant must already have a clearance renewal card which is like an ATM card. The machine will be installed in several brueaus and other government offices, including DFA and malls nationwide. The machine also accepts payments both bills and coins, it has features like biometric system that uses face-recognition and fingerprint scanner to determine the identity of the user.

Nice innovation isn't it?
